The legacy of Pinecone Pete has officially begun! At OH MY GOSH-TEMO, Pinecone Pete officially appeared popping out of a tree like he had been quietly observing disc golfers for years. No big announcement… just a curious old gnome with a pinecone hat stepping into the spotlight. It was subtle. It was mysterious. Pinecone Pete had arrived. Players didn’t know it yet…but this was the beginning of a season-long story. Then came Sessions Lake… and the official passing of the torch.
HOMES the Hippo stepped forward for one final appearance, symbolically handing Pinecone Pete the torch, marking the end of one era and the beginning of another. But, in true HOMES fashion…He got a little clumsy. Instead of a smooth handoff, HOMES accidentally lit Pinecone Pete on fire, sending Pete scrambling while still trying to accept the torch. It was chaotic. It was hilarious. It was perfectly on brand. Even in the moment of transition, HOMES reminded everyone why he was so loved and Pinecone Pete proved he could handle the heat…literally. The torch was passed. The fire was lit. Pinecone Pete’s journey truly began. Which leads us to this coming weekend!!!

After surviving the fiery handoff, Pinecone Pete arrived at Courtland Township Park… and something changed. The woods welcomed him. Surrounded by the wildlife of the woods, Pinecone Pete takes his place on the throne. No longer just a newcomer, he had become King of the Woods. This isn’t about replacing the past, it is about Pinecone Pete finding his role in this upcoming season! The woods have accepted him. The crown had been claimed. The story is growing.
